The Sprint Orienteering modality is a dynamic and accessible form of orienteering. Characterized by short courses, high physical intensity, and the need for quick decisions, unlike traditional races held in forested areas, the Sprint takes place in urban and public environments such as squares, parks, schools, and historical centers, bringing the sport closer to the population. The main objective of this modality is to popularize orienteering, taking it to easily accessible locations with high pedestrian traffic. In this way, it becomes an effective tool for promoting the sport, sparking the interest of new participants, and promoting values such as quick thinking, strategy, and respect for urban space. In addition to serving as a showcase for the modality, the Sprint provides an attractive visual spectacle that combines speed, technique, and direct interaction with the everyday urban environment.
